M1 Garand Bullpup stock?

Has anyone seen a good bullpup stock for a Garand? I've seen them for the M1A, and think that with the great price M1's go for right now, that would be a really cool idea.
It would have to support a scout scope... but other than that draw back i think it 'd be a pretty cool new twist

Well, the nice thing about the M1A is the box magazine. Having the Garand ejecting the clip into your right eye socket may be somewhat unsettling.

That's a very nice way of saying "Why would you ruin a rifle that's no longer in production and can't be replaced?"

Yeah... if you want something similar in a bullpup stock... pick up an old mini-14 or mini-30 and get a bullpup kit fot it. Don't go ruining your M1

I guess its all your perspective. If i was to convert one of my good Garands,,, then I have to agree with you.
But! If i use one of the crappy ones that need a new barrel and other parts,,, than I think its an incredibly reliable functioning rifle in an interesting new platform. Agreed, the clip has to be worked around. But to have something as accurate and reliable as the Garand has merrit

Well, you might knock the L85/SA80 out of first place for most awkward bull-pup.

Interesting . . .
And yet, I can't seem to get the image out of my mind. The image of a man running around screaming, with a bullpup M1 dangling from his right earlobe.
Never mind. It's probably the late hour, or an undigested bit of beef.
