Help with a Mauser C96 style stock/ holster for a Ruger Single Six
With Christmas rolling up I decided to put my new Foreman rotary tool to good use and wanted to try to make a holster/ stock combo for an old Single Six I cleaned up for my niece, I know I'll need to pay the tax stamp for a SBR category firearm, but I hope it'll get through before gift wrapping time
. So far I got the holster part of the stock more or less down, now what I need is some insight as to how to lock the grip part to the stock. From what I can see the Mauser uses a slot of some kind on the back of the handle to attach the grip to the stock; but the grip of the Single Six doesn't look like it would take to the same treatment so any ideas?

Look at an old Colt 1860 Army detachable stock for reference.
