50 cal Traditions pistol
Can I shoot conicals with this pistol, and if so, what loads do you recommend? I am new to this B/P game but I LOVE it. Thanks in advance for your help. jvw7

Traditions makes the Vortek inline pistol that's designed for hunting with conicals and heavy powder charges. They also make traditional sidelock pistols.
Assuming that you have a sidelock pistol, can you describe it or tell us the model? Below is the PDF owner's manual for all Traditions sidelock pistols and rifles. Page 5 of the PDF gives the most accurate and the maximum round ball charges, and directly underneath the chart it states: http://www.traditionsfirearms.com/cm...ock_manual.pdf Quote:
Good luck and be sure to visit TFL's Black Powder and Cowboy Action Shooting forum.
