Remington Model 11 vs. Sportsman

I've been researching the value of an inherited Model 11/Sportsman 12 ga, and I'm confused by one thing in my notes. I believe I have a Sportsman, because that's what is stamped on the bolt, and there's a grounded pheasant stamped on the receiver. I've read that a flying pheasant means it's a Model 11. What's the main difference between the two models?
Also, it has an adjustable choke. Does that add much to the value?

"The Sportsman" was essentially a three-shot version of the Model 11.

I think the adjustable choke will actually detract value from the gun. I look at a lot of older shotguns on Gunbroker and it seems to me that most of the older guns with this feature bring less money.

A Model 11, Sportsman with a plain barrel and a Polychoke added is a $200 shotgun at best. They are not collectable. Have fun researching it and shoot it. Mark
