black powder hunting
I have a double barrel 50 cal. Muzzleloader. Made by CvA. It's an over/under which I love. Looking for any information on a newer model. I have taken a few deer with it. Getting the loads right is so tricky... it always seems to shoot high. So I've missed some. So looking for over/under. Muzzleloader 50 or bigger.

Traditions was selling them but they were discontinued nearly a year ago which makes them difficult to find.
One internet Traditions dealer has 2 of them in stock which are selling at MSRP. One is blue for $1249.95 and the other is nickle for $1349.95, plus shipping. Contact me for details. Last edited by arcticap; November 27, 2011 at 02:57 AM. |

Blackpowder Hunting with double barrel

Implement descriptions for Big Game Hunting: MUZZLELOADER- Firearm loaded through the muzzle, a mini. bore of .44 inches, shooting a single projectile. Double barreled muzzleloaders and percussion cap revolvers are not legal, if you juse a single shot muzzleloading pistol you must have a New York State pistol permit. |

Shooting high is a condition of the sights and your sighting in. It won't be cured by going to an O/U.
The CVA double is, to many, a desirable hunting rifle. And, it is legal in many (most?) states. |
