Trigger feel

My expirence is with charter revolvers so i suppose there could be a difference. I know this after shooting a bunch the lc9 trigger seems better than the lcp. I own both and before the nine the 380 was my carry piece so that is a good comparison i suppose.

Vermonter,

you seem to hit very well with the LC9, that's all that counts.

Haven't shot that much. But I like the WWB 115g HP and the Federal Hydra-Shock 135g HP.

I plan to test Hornady Critical Defense. I use the CD ammo in .38 & .45 ACP and it is very good ammo.

Took my LC9 to the range last week to see if it would go bang. Had about 70 rounds of 6 different loads. Perfect functioning. The plus P loads had more recoil, but quite manageable. The loads that shot closer to point of aim for me were 124gr gold dots.

I'm breaking in a Cozy Partner IWB. Kinda tricky snaps, but I'm getting used to them.

Were these +P loads?

I have not shot the +P 124gr loads in my LC9, but I do have this load for possible carry round.

back to arizona

Well the lc9 went back to ruger. Less than 1000 rounds and slide stop spring broke. Took three weeks to come back. Gave it 100 rounds last night and it was like the same gun without the failures. If it fails within the next few hundred rounds in the same manner i will not stand behind it but for now im assuming it was a lemmon that was repaired.

How is everyone else doing with theirs?

Flawless so far

Vermonter - sorry to hear about your problem - hopefully this is not the norm for the LC9. I was able to shoot mine last weekend. I think I'm doing better. Targets were at 7 yards. Here are some pics.

Targets

On the previous post I have a picture of the target board. These targets are 8.5 x 11 inch printer paper. I printed them from the Glock website. The first one here is a torso target with a 9mm ammo to show group size. The last two are face targets. I took two shots at the smiley face then go to bottom left and then to the sad face. I was really surprise at the results so I shot the other target the same way to verify.

hopefully not the norm

Im ok if i got a lemon and that to me means the product was sub par in my expirence but overall a god product. This would leave me able to reccomend the gun. It will take a few hundred more rounds for me to trust their fix and if all goes well this one will serve its purpouse.
Ruger has already agreed to replace it with a different gun if i end up not trusting it in the long run.

So far 100 rounds zero failures after it came back so that is a start.

Yeah, it's not my range gun but I feel like I have to shoot it more often because it's my carry gun about 50% of the time. And so far, I've had no reason to not trust it. I hope it stays that way.

Vermonter - range ammo is WWB or Federal from Wal-Mart. Both seem to shoot same grouping. so far I've tried the PDX1 124 gr +P, Hornady CD 115 gr, Hornady Custom 147 gr and Hornady Tap 124 gr. It likes the 115 gr best. The PDX1 was snappiest out of the group and resulted in the biggest group size for me. I'm looking for some Hydra Shok and Speer Gold Dot but I have not seen any in my neck of the woods. Guess I'll have to order.
