Wish me luck
Hey all.
Got my first 20 rounds of 45ACP done with starting loads. 230 grain LRN with 4 grains of red dot. My first reloads ever. WISH ME LUCK!

Congrats !
That said, my manuals show 4.0gr RedDot to be a bit light for a 230-ish LRN: - Lyman 48th says 4.3gr for ~700fps - Speer #14 says 4.7gr for ~765 fps (Don't be surprised if that lower 4.0gr doesn't reliably cycle the slide every time since it's likely to be going out in the 660fps regime.) Have you tested the overall length and crimp by seeing if they'll drop cleanly into the barrel/chamber when you have the gun disassmbled? Last edited by mehavey; August 22, 2011 at 07:44 AM. |

I suspect all will go well. You will then go home and proceed to reload 2,000 rounds. You are now hooked and in the process of being reeled in.

Now that you are hooked you need to build a new addition on the house for all the ammo you will make.

Bit by the reloading bug!
Another one bites the bullet! If married, he will need either a good wife (preference goes to one who also shoots) or a good marriage counselor!
