Die Holder

I'm setting up different turret plates for three calibers. How do you store your turret plates?

I have file cabinets with shallow drawers, the drawers are just tall enough to lay the tool heads on their sides with powder dispensers. I cut wood wedges for dies in boxes. The drawers are tall enough for all bottle neck cases in boxes. 38 Special.44 Remington mag are stacked two high in boxes.

The tool heads have stands, but I do not use a reloading bench.

If you are using Lee dies, use the bottom of the round case they came in, just turn them upside down, the shell holders/turrets will just fit in. You can then put the top on the whole shebang and keep any dust out.

I use RCBS and Hornady dies mainly. My charge through dies are Lee that I bought seperately. I know they sell the round cases and have heard they the dies will fit in the case but I have a 4 hole turret. I have only seen Lee 4 die sets come in box cases so far but I could be wrong.

I store mine in a rack I made from some 1/4" sheet aluminum. Lee sells the round boxes that will hold a 4 hole head. Part #90535 for $4.50 each.

That is correct, but you only need three holes powder through die is not long and does not protrude.

Jim

Without cover or with cover

Lee is selling a metal holder that will mount on the bench or a wall.

I do the same thing Jim does; being able to cover them is helpful. Lee will also sell you the round containers you see in his pix, if you don't have enough for all your turrets.
