Which is the most accurate Sig?

I've heard people say the Sig X-Five L1 is the most accuarate pistol Sig Sauer makes. When I go to their website - I'm not even sure which pistol that is... I don't find a "X-Five Level 1" on their website. There is a pistol called P226 X-Five Lightweight... don't think that's the gun people are talking about though as being so accurate.

Is this Sig X-Five L1 more accurate than the P226 X-Six PPC ?

I've also heard people rave about the SIG SAUER P210 Legend Target.

My SIG P226 E2 of course..Come on now. lol I'd say 99% of SIG's in the right hand period.

I'm guessing Sig is banking their money on the resurrected 210.

Here are the links to the ones you are probably after. It would take a very good professional with the right ammo to probably tell which one really is the more accurate of the two.

Sig P210 is more accurate by design than any P226 or X-5.

I personally would buy an older P210-6 over the Legend.

Others have said that while the 210 was renowned for it's accuracy - it wasn't really a target pistol so other pistols in the Sig line - like the Sig X-Five L1 surpass it in ergonomics.

I'm hoping there is someone who has some experience with these pistols...

Sigs

I agree with 10-96. The P210 was the most accurate Sig I have ever had the pleasure of shooting. I'm personally happy to see it back.

Ergonomics are subjective. They do not necessarily translate from one shooter to the next.

I think it is the X-Five ....

There are 4 models of the X-Fine line ....the top end one just called an X-Five and it has an adjustable trigger in it ( so you can set it for 2 - 4 lbs ) and then lock it. Its a SAO gun - all stainless - 5" barrel - and its heavy / with a full mag of .40 S&W in it ( 14 rds ) its about 55 oz - so its a beast. Mine came with a test target - a 1" group at 25 yds. List price is $ 2,747.

My X-Five -- in .40S&W ...

http://thefiringline.com/forums/atta...3&d=1294095665

vs my standard Sig 226's ( all stainless / but DA/SA triggers ) ....
http://thefiringline.com/forums/atta...6&d=1303170642 still very good guns ( one is a 9mm, one is a .40S&W) but nowhere near as accurate as the X-Five.

The X-Five also has a competition model - SAO - but no adj trigger. It has a 4.5 trigger I believe - list price
is $ 1,976.
There is a Tactical version - SAO - list price is $ 1,696 .
There is an "All Around" version - DA/SA trigger - list is $ 1,696 ...

To me, the trigger on the top of the line X-Five makes it a very interesting gun ....and lighter triggers matter a little. It still has some slack in it / its still a hinged trigger ( its not a 1911 ) ...but its a very good and accurate gun.

I have shot a 210 / but I don't own one ...so I can't really compare. I did think the 210 was a nice gun ..but I like the X-Five better.

Has anyone had any experience with the P226 X-SIX PPC?

It has a 6" barrel which makes me think it would be more accurate.

it doesn't seem like it has an adjustable SAO trigger though, it may have a DA/SA trigger.

I doubt the 6" model of the X-Five will do better than a 1" group at 25 yds ....but how much more accurate does it need to be ??

But no, I have not fired the 6" model - or seen one for that matter. I'm not sure if the 6" models had the adj trigger or not / but the Sig website will tell you.

Nothing to do with the topic but.

I am on vacation for a few days and I dropped my SIG on the hammer. Nothing happened and it scratched it a bit. I swear in slow motion I was thinking " nooooooooo! " lol

Doesn't the Xfive come with a 1" at 50 yards garuntee? Can the 210 honestly top that? I might just have to find a 210 to try.
