It's finally here

I was poking around in the Reno Sportsman's Warehouse last Thursday, and guess what they had......Alliant 300-MP powder. I have been looking for this since I first found the load data on the Alliant site. I now am the happy owner of 2 lbs of this seemingly awesome powder.

I have not loaded any rounds yet, but this is a very fine spherical powder, so I expect it will measure well. It is not an economical powder by any means, but the velocities listed in the data are impressive, to say the least.

I will post more info as I get to using some. I don't chrony, but my buddy has one, so I may do some comparisons. Whatever I learn, I will share. Stay tuned to this station.

Look at the load data for .357 magnum on the Alliant site. There is a major step up in velocity compared to their other powders. 1900+ fps with a 125 grain pill. That merits some bench time, followed by some range time.

Unfortunately, , today I have to go out and shoot up some groceries for YouTube material.
