Arisaka 99 Rotated Safety Jamb

Hello,

I just purchased an Arisaka 99 and first thing I did was remove bolt and clean. Well being a newbie to this type rifle, "somehow" I rotated the safety button. How it even went back together in this position is unknown to me and now I can't even raise the bolt. It's about 90 degrees too far clockwise and the pin on side of safety bolt end strikes the body making it impossible to raise bolt-handle. I've searched internet and tried everything possible it seems but no luck. I have taken barrel with bolt out of stock thinking it might help but doesn't. Needless to say I feel the fool and would sure like some ideas. Thanks for any help.

Hope it turned out alright for you. I have also been there/done that. So don't feel alone!

They are a great piece of history. Hope you enjoy yours.
