Rifle Range Bag?
I am in the market for a rifle-oriented range bag. The bags w/ all those little pouches for holding pistol mags are wasted space. I am looking for a largeish range bag that has rifle mag poches on either the inside or outside. The bag also has to be big enough for all the other stuff, to include a chronograph.
Any suggestions?

I can't vouch for this, CTD just sent me an email about it a week or two ago.

Believe it or not, I bought a tool bag from Home Depot. It has 10 smaller pockets lining the inside, good for pistol mags, and the interior is completely open. In addition, it has two larger pockets on each of the outer body panels, for a total of 8 that will hold AR type mags. Around $40 iirc. It is heavy duty, holds a ton of stuff and cleans up with a brush, soap and water.

I have looked at all the links listed plus alot more; all these bags are oriented for pistol or shotgun. Interesting. BOB bags ARE rifle-oriented (as they should be), but are far too small.
The search continues...

I finally settled on the Bagmaster Pro Tournament Model-1. It was a little pricey at $120, but it looks to be big enough to hold all my junk including a chrono and printer, and is the only one I saw that had a nice hearing protector holder on the outside. It's on order.
Now I need to find a BOB the right size. My list of stuff to go in it is pretty extensive, heavy, and expensive. I need to cut out the heavy and expensive parts.

Check out my post in this Forum titled "A plug for WRB".
Good, American-made guncases and bags. Good quality, good value, good selection, variety of colors, good guarantee, fast shipping. Cheers, "Ringolevio" |
