Everytime I think I'm done collectin', something new slips under the fence rail and joins the herd!!! Here's my latest, a 44cal, "1960 New Model Army" in the white. Made in Belium in 1961.

I can not call myself a collector. I am an accumulator.
And yes....That is a great looking NMA.

Doc Hoy,
Nice projects! I too like the short barreled ones, they handle so much better during the quick stuff. Sure you loose a little power when you loose barrel length but the trade-off is worth it. With BP revolvers there is so much more to do than just hacksawing off the inches. The biggest part is that you need to make up the new loading lever and secure it. This usually involves a lot of metal work! I respect the work that goes along with cut down Black Powder revolvers! I had to buy mine ready-made A 5 1/2" Remington and my new 5" Piettia .36 caliber Colt Police. Both are great shooters! ZVP |

How ya like the North American Arms " The Earl " I just could not resist buying it. 22lr/22mag combo, 4" barrel, 5 round, all stainless. Like a mini 1860 remington.

Here's another pic of the "Earl" with larger rubber grips, for better control, it jumps like holding a bull frog by one leg.

Now were back in business. Can someone tell me how to get my pics to come up, instead of having to click the link?

Here's a few of my cowboys guns.
BTW - for you lefties out there, that holster is hand made and retailed at $70 and I'll sell it for $40 shipped CONUS. It's in near new condition. Fits Ruger Blackhawk 4" and similar. PM me if you're interested. Not to hijack the thread, I'm getting more into these single actions, lever guns, and break open shottys... Last edited by leadcounsel; May 26, 2011 at 09:03 PM. |

Zenkoji, The previous owner had "cabin fever" last winter and stripped it down himself. I like it, it matches an old Pocket Police I have that also came stripped down. Your 51' and Army look real sweet.

sltm1 & pohill
sltm1 --
Thanks! I'm curious to find out how he did it - any chance you could get me in touch with him? Does yours have a lot of sanding/buffing marks or is it super smooth? I used a Dremel-type tool on mine - looks good, but not nearly as perfect as I would like! pohill -- Some SWEET guns! I love the Pinfire (does it work?? Where'd you get it?), the Remingtons, and that Savage & North .36 is awesome! |

I got the 2mm pinfire for $20 in Maine. They actually sell (or did at one time) cartridges for it. I guess they're pretty collectable. I think the grips are Mother of Pearl.

pohill, VERY NICE!! I like these pietta 1858 target models, the .45 conversion cylinder fits both, and they are two of the most accurate revolvers I own when using my .45 colt loads.

Pohill, Your collection (accumulation), is getting more and more impressive. I have one of those pinfires also, if you open the page you posted on them, mine is the "Mighty Mite" on the bottom of the page, I've had it since I was a kid...my 1st gun!
Zenkoji, I bought it from "Sundance44" here on the forum, look him up and send him a message, he's a nice guy and will give you all the info you want. Tell him hi for me. |
