remington .41 rimfire derringer

I know its a bad idea, but a family member was wondering if you could sleeve a .41 rimfire to a .22 lr caliber and it function?

It may also take a firing pin modification, but anything is possible.

The big drawback is the frames are iron and most crack at the hinge. Once cracked it's not easily fixed. If you have one with a good frame why risk damaging it beyond repair?
