"Hole in One" Shot for Events

I'm putting together a charity clays shoot in a few months and looking to add a bit of spice to it to raise some extra funds for the cause and give people something to be interested in and remember. In addition to the sporting clays as usual I was thinking of putting in some kind of safe but interesting trick shot for people to attempt, the idea being like a designated hole at a golf course having a car if someone got a hole in one on it. Has this ever been done at an event you've been to? I was thinking of something like having a straight away shot directly at the backstop so it's 100% fool proof with 2 or 3 traps throwing 5, 6, or maybe even 7 birds simultaneously and a semi auto with an appropriate capacity tube for them to attempt to get all 5, 6, or 7 birds at the same time, ala Tom Knapp. Difficult but remotely possible, safe enough to try, and enticing for someone to want to pay $5 a try.

Whatcha think?

There are a variety of "flurry" games - typically one or two shooters start with guns loaded. Once "pull" is called, pairs are launched every 4 seconds, whether the shooters are ready or not - highest score wins

Turkey shoots with "closest to the "X" is always fun as well

After our night league we would have a long shot try - everyone put up $1, a name got picked at random, and the person was given 1 factory shell to try to hit the target - typically a LOOOOOONG crosser - if he missed, people anted up again and it continued - the pot could get pretty big that way

One that I have witnesed is to shoot the second "teal" as close to the ground as possible. Comming straight down and moving fast is very difficult to hit just before it hits the ground. The problem is judging who's hit was closest to the ground.

Stuff that's hard to judge and hard to do over and over again won't work. I'll have at least 50 and possibly upwards of 100 people at the event and likely 20-50 people doing this, some of them maybe more than once, so it's gotta be repeatable, straightforward, and very easy to score.

Have them stand about 30-35 yards from the trap house - 1 at a time, first time they miss, they can buy back in for $1 - only buy in one time extra...last person remaining wins the pot and splits it with the charity

Last registered sporting event had 4 money stations - if you played that option AND ran that station, you were eligible for the prize money

These types of events can be a turn off to everyday shooter: if your skill is pressed to get a pair every now and then, then you're not gonna bet $5 that you can get 5, 6 or 7. I've organized tournaments and fund-raisers before, IMHO, for charity events, you'll get better response if you offer prizes based on skill and chance. The better shooters can go for the high score and trick shot prizes and the average shooters can go for the chance based prizes.

What type of range will you be shooting on? It might dictate the game that would be suitable. Plus what Z13 said.
