gp100 grip locator

How hard is it to press the grip locator pin out of a ruger gp100, any suggestions? i need to press mine out.

mine will not push out by hand, i have the older style 2 piece rubber grips, wanting to go to a one piece.

Use a dowel or punch and a hammer and tap it.

But support the grip frame on something hard and solid (not a piece of soft wood) while you drive the pin out. I have seen some that were REALLY tightly fitted. Most are not.
