A bit of reality in action movie
Saw RED the other day. Decent, entertaining comic-book action movie. Overall, not a lot of realism of course; but fun. One bit of realism that did surprise me was the suppressed weapons - they actually sounded like real suppressed weapons instead of being "Hollywood quiet."

There should be a warning label on that gun that reads "This will hurt. Use wisely."

Interesting, and certainly not the dumbest thing I've ever seen.

Haven't seen it yet, but with the comments I have read it seems like this is a sleeper that will gain cult status.

The movie was great fun. Loved it. The firearm stuff wasn't complete Hollywood fantasy (they had their realistic moments), but they did indulge a bit.
What is that thing on that revolver? I see the light, but that forward grip just looks like it does nothing. |

That's apparently a single shot shotgun attached to the barrel of a pistol. I didn't see the point, especially since I think you only see this gun for like two seconds in the movie

Movie armorers crate crazy stuff like that all the time and will throw it in a movie to get seen.
