No. 4 Mk. I rear sight retaining pin
I was able to get the pin out with no problems, really...but if something did happen, does anyone know a reputable source for this part? As some know its very tiny, and probably most distributors don't have this small of piece in stock. Replacements? Brad nails, coat hanger wire dremmeled down?

Any pin of the same diameter will work. (Broken drill bit, piece of rod, etc.) It's not a complicated part to make.

If you mean the tiny pin that passes through the rear sight hinge pin, you have options.
This pin isn't under any stress, and as long as it doesn't fall out, it's good. One is to use any small piece of pin stock, drill rod, or even the shank of a drill. On one occasion, I un-bent and straightened out a coil spring that was made of wire the right diameter. Another option is to spend money and buy a pin by shopping the online surplus parts dealer. Truth.... any pin that's the right size will work fine. |

The original pin has a taper, use a brad nail to fabricate a new one.

Short (1/2") piece cut from a wire coat hanger.
Chuck in Dremel. Use fine abrasive paper (400~600) to grind taper on to one end. Cold blue when done & trim to length & diameter(s) needed.

I just cut a piece of spring wire, of which I had plenty.
