Got lucky the other day

Was at the local gun shop and some one walked in asking if they bought primers, they naturally said no. But that they could be sold to who ever where ever though a want add. I happened to be listening so I asked what they were and what brand.

Well I bought 3,000 Remington 9 1/2 primers for $30.00 I have not really liked the Remingtons that I bought before but I could not pass up the price.

Whoa, that's a killer deal. Were they in good condition? I use them soemtimes myself, and they seem to work well enough.

I opened up some of them they all looked good, nothing to be concerned about as far as how they looked. I guess his Grandpa bought them in a larger box because the cases were in a larger Remington box.

That's like a buy one, get two free deal right there.

And really, not even all too bad for the seller. If he couldn't use them or didn't want them, primers are pretty difficult to sell if you don't hang around gun people or handloaders. You can't ship them anywhere.

I've been happy with the several thousand Remington pistol primers I've used. They all went bang. Sweet deal!

I like Remington primers. You were at the right place at the right time, fella.

I told the guy they were worth about 30.00 a box but he just wanted to get rid of them so I helped him out the best I could.

Ya can't be too careful buying stuff from strangers.
So, before going to all the trouble of reloading with them, be sure to test them all first.
