If you are an American, you will feel better in your heart if you buy the Redfield.

2-7 is more than I want, but it's cheaper than a good 1.5-4 or 5x
If you want a great lower power scope, check out the Nitrex by Weaver 1.5x5 for $89 (after $50 rebate) at Natchez. Here is the link http://www.natchezss.com/Category.cf...Plex%20Reticle

The quality of the glass on the Nitrex is equal or better than that on the Nikon or Redfield you mentioned.

Well, I bought a Vortex Viper 2-7x32 but unfortunately, my wife wrapped it and is making me wait until Christmas to open it and try it out.

I will post a review after Christmas.

Thanks for all the input and advice.

I have 2 Pro-Staff 2-7 scopes and a Redfield 2-7X32
I bought the Prostaffs because Redfields were sold out!
The Redfield is far superior, better turrets, better (Lifetime) warranty, built in Portland OR at the Leopold plant
