No doubt a full size gun is better if you can manage it. I have carried 1911s, Glock 17s, an Hk P30, Sig 220, etc. After 20 years it got old. I don't see me going back.

You seem to like the traditional double action pistols. If I were in your shoes, I would look at a used Smith 3913, 3914, 3953, 3954 or a CZ 2075 RAMI P or Beretta PX4.
