primer for m1 carbine

Can any one help with this ? Plan on reloading M1 carbine. Want to use Win 296 powder. I know a need a small rifle primer but can I use the Remington
7 1/2 magnum primer when loading an M 1 carbine?

Yes, the 7 1/2 BR is a warm primer. Runs 55 grain .223 10X loads about 4% faster than a Federal 205. Should be fine with H110/296.
