1858 nickle?
I bid on a 1858 nickle pietta that looks stainless to me in pictures,does anyone know if theese are brass framed, the seller isnt sure,or aint sayin

A magnet should settle that easily enough.
A nickel plated steel frame is quite magnetic. My stainless framed 1858 is also quite magnetic. A nickel plated brass frame will be ever so slightly magnetic, if detectable at all. |

The one I have is all steel, except for the trigger guard.

Pietta nickle plated steel frame 1858 from Navy Arms. ![]() Nickle plated brass frame 1858 "Buffalo" possible a Pietta.
