Fie titan question

How do you tell which model .25 cal FIE Titan you have.

.22 TITAN II (E22)

- .22 LR cal., single action, 10 shot mag., blue finish only. Walnut grips standard. Mfg. 1990 only.

.22 Titan II Lady
- similar to .22 TITAN II except has combination blue/gold finish with scrimshawed red rose on ivory polymer grips. New 1990.

.25 TITAN (E27 SERIES)
- .25 ACP cal., single action, blue (disc. 1989) or Dyna-chrome finish (standard 1990).

.25 TITAN (E38 SERIES)
- .25 ACP cal., similar to E27 series except has standard blue finish. Mfg. 1990 only.

.25 Titan Tigress
- similar to .25 Titan except is entirely gold plated and cased, ladies pistol. Imported 1989-90 only.

KG-99
- 9mm Para. cal., paramilitary design pistol, 36 shot mag. Mini-99 also available with 20 shot mag. and 3 in. barrel. Disc. 1984.

MODEL 722 TP SILHOUETTE PISTOL
- .22 LR cal., bolt action target pistol, 10 in. free-floating barrel, 4-way adj. trigger, micro adj. rear sight, 6 or 10 shot mag., stippled pistol grip and forearm, supplied with 2-piece scope mount, 3.4 lbs. Mfg. 1990 only.

SPECTRE PISTOL
- 9mm Para. or .45 ACP cal., double action, unique triple action blowback system with two piece bolt, 6 in. barrel, military style configuration, adj. sights, 30 or 50 (optional with unique 4 column configuation) shot mag., 4.8 lbs. Mfg. 1989-90 only.

SSP SERIES
- .32 ACP or .380 ACP cal., single action semi-auto, 3 1/8 in. barrel, 5 shot mag., blue or chrome finish, composition grips, 25 oz. Mfg. in US, 1990 only.

SSP Series Lady
- similar to SSP except has gold trimmed parts, scrimshawed red rose on ivory polymer grips, and gold case. Mfg. 1990 only.

SUPER TITAN
- .380 ACP cal., proofed AH, otherwise similar to Super Titan II. Mfg in Italy by Tanfoglio.

SUPER TITAN II
- .32 ACP (disc. 1988), or .380 ACP cal., single action, 12 shot mag. in .32 ACP, 11 for .380 cal., walnut grips, standard blue only. Mfg. in U.S. - disc.

THE BEST (A27)
- .25 ACP cal., single action, blue only, deluxe finish, walnut grips, steel frame, 6 shot mag. Mfg. in Spain by Astra. Importation disc. 1988.

TITAN II (E32 SERIES)
- .32 ACP (disc. 1988), or .380 ACP, single action, blue (standard) or chrome finish. Mfg. in U.S. - disc.

TZ-75
- 9mm Para. cal., double action, 4.72 in. barrel, steel frame and slide, 15 shot mag., patterned after the CZ-75 action, 35 oz. Imported 1982-1989. This model was updated in 1988 (Series 88).

TZ-75 SERIES 88
- 9mm Para. or .41 Action Express cal., improved TZ-75 action, 4.72 in. barrel, steel frame and slide, 11 (.41 AE) or 17 (9mm Para.) shot mag., fixed removable rear sight, choice of matte blue, satin chrome, or blue slide/chrome frame finish, updated CZ-75 action, 35 oz. Mfg. 1988-90.

TZ-75 Series 88 Combo
- includes both .41 Action Express and 9mm Para. barrels. Mfg. 1990 only.

TZ-75 Series 88 Compensated
- similar to the TZ-75 Series 88 except has 5 3/4 in. compensated barrel, 42 oz. Mfg. 1990 only.

TZ-75 Series 88 Govt. Model
- 9mm Para. cal. only, compact variation of the TZ-75 Series 88, 3 3/5 in. barrel, 12 shot mag., checkered walnut grips, 33 1/2 oz. Mfg. 1990 only.

TZ-75 Series 88 with ported barrel
- similar to the TZ-75 Series 88 except has 5 in. ported barrel and slide. Mfg. 1990 only.

Step 1. Place handle in vise grip. Tighten.

Step 2. Take 1lb. Sledge hammer and swing it as hard as possible on top of the slide.

If gun doesn't shatter, it isn't the pot metal one

That's ridiculous. I owned a Titan for many years and it never did have any problems. I carried it a lot and shot it a lot. Love that external hammer.

TMK, no Titan pistol was made out of pot metal.
BTW, "The Best" was not made by Astra. Some of the parts may have been made by Astra, but the frame was made in the US.

Super Titan 380 vs. Super Titan II 380

What is the difference between the two models? I have a Super Titan 380 made in Italy, distributed in Miam, Fla. Goods works great but I need to buy a couple of magazines and want to be sure I buy the correct product. Any accurate info out there? Thanks!
