Primer find
I had decided to forgo some new firearms and start to build more stock of supplies for reloading. Found tons of primers in Arkansas last week while on a vacation but wow were they expensive, upper 30's to 55 a 1,000. So today I hit a shop that has had some decent prices and picked up 5,000 CCI small pistol for 21/1,000 and 5,000 Winchester small rifle for 23/1,000. I feel good about that. Now on to bullets - ideas?

S + S Casting is hard to beat for quality or price. I ordered 4000 230 gr
.45 cast on Tuesday and got them on Friday. Discount prices if you order 5000 or 10,000 bunch's. These bullets are actually pretty! I don't dare try anyone else as the time I ordered from Wideners I got some not so nice quality bullets. BTW I still look first at Wideners for everything else-good people. http://shop.snscasting.com/main.sc;j...7.qscstrfrnt04 Last edited by SQUAREKNOT; March 28, 2010 at 09:50 PM. Reason: add URL |

I just paid 36 for large pistol and 38 for large rifle:barf:. A friend almost has me convinced to try casting my own 45's. That would be cheap and I could make as many as I wanted. I think I could come up with a supply of wheel waits. Not sure how good a bullet they would make though.
