Love Pythons as well, but they tend to be very expensive.

due to its toughness and portable size. I was privy to a side by side shooting test Ruger v. Smith v. Colt with comparable frame sizes and the Ruger won hands down.

The 686 is to darn big for routine carry for me. The python is better but so pretty.

The Ruger, ........load it and tote it.

My 686 Plus, it does everything very well and looks great while doing it.

The only other .357 I want besides my short barrel would be a 6" blued Model 27 for its beauty. I have great admiration for the Colt Python also, but not $1000++ worth. Also a big fan of blued Ruger Security Sixes.
