Need help dating my Browning A-5

I have a very old Browning A-5 12 gauge the serial number is 28071 with an H above it.

H
28071

Any idea what year it was made ? I looked on the Browning web site and now I'm really confused...........

"Very old" is pretty relative when discussing A-5s. Most folks think of pre-WWII as the old ones. Yours, with a seven digit serial number puts in the mid-50s to mid-60s period. The "H" means it's a standard weight and "28071" puts it in the 1954-55 run. Click here to link to the Browning site.
