Desert Eagle .50 AE 10 inch barrel?

Yes it is me agian. Ive been looking at the 10 inch barrels for the desert eagle. They are almost $400!!! Are they really worth it??? Does it add more energy to the bullet? I mean ur firing a 300 grain bullet most of the time out of it, so would the barrel really give it that much more distance? because im debating on rather to get the 10 inch barrel to help improve my ballistics or to get the new magnum research desert eagle muzzle break so i can reduce the recoil on the monster. So anyone with experience on the 10 inch desert eagle barrel please help me on my choice!!! Thanks agian!!!!

I never shot one with the 10" barrel, but I have shot the shorter ones. I haven't really found a purpose for any Deagle. They are cool, and unique, but that's about it. The 10" barreled Deagle that I handled was even more out of balance than the shorter ones, and I thought they where bad. The 10" barrel will give you more velocity, thus giving you more range. I guess it would make for a good "hunting handgun", but I'd think that you want to get some good "shooting sticks".

I think I would rather have an extra .44 mag barrel than the 10in .50 myself. Gives you more versatility and cheaper to shoot.

Also, if the .50 is factory loaded for the shorter barrel you may not gain a lot with the longer barrel (besides sight radius) unless you handload with a different powder to suit that barrel.
