Garand ejecting last round.

I have a Springfield Garand.

It has started ejecting the mag clip with one round left in it.
Started doing it almost every clip. So I installed a heavier Fulton Armory Clip spring. Now it only does it sometimes.

I need to get this to stop.

Any suggestions on what part is causing this?

Next thing to replace is the clip latch itself, possibly the bullet guide.

While you're at it, just on general principles, buy a Fulton or Orion 7 recoil spring.
The M1 recoil spring actually powers the entire action and a weak or worn, or too strong spring can cause odd problems.
The Fulton/Orion springs are USGI power but high grade and cheap.
