Barrel band Sling swivel
http://www.uncle-mikes.com/products/...wbluefurn.html
I saw one of these on a shotgun barrel this weekend. I would like to put a sling swivel on mine and one of these around the barrel would be great. There does not seem to be any designed to go on the barrel. Does anyone know if they stopped making them or if one of the models designed for a mag tube just happen to fit a shotgun barrel? What are guesses on accuracy effect on a rifled slug barrel? This looks like it is what I want, but not sure. My local fun shop was out and I hate to make a long drive to look for them.

Not what I saw, but it might work. A bit fancier and pricier than my expectation though. Unluckily for me they are sold out anyways...

I have one somewhere I had on my 12 gauge, if I can find it I'll give it to you.

I was just doing post deer camp maintenance on my H&R(backup gun), and I realized it has one on it. No brand name. When I bought it Old English Outfitters was nice enough to install sling swivels for me at no charge(they probably took pity on me since it was my first scattergun and I obviously did not know what I was about). At least I know where I got it.&R even though it is almost always relegated to back up these days.
UncleDewey, if you find it I would greatly appreciate it. If not I am sure I will find one around before too long, so don't worry yourself much about it.

Take care in selecting a barrel mounted sling swivel mount.
It is a sad thing to see the distruction when a swivel or mount breaks and drops your rifle or shotgun into the rocks. Many of the after market mounts I have seem are questionable, at best, as far as quality. Not sure I want to trust my rifle/shotgun to one tiny screw thru the two halves of one of these mounts. Keep em coming! Crusty Deary Ol Coot |

I'll look tonight, I'm pretty sure I know where it's at. This is a well made swivel, because I trusted it to carry the 1924, Model 12, Winchester my Gramp gave me.

John,
I am still looking for the shotgun swivel. No success yet, but I'm going to keep looking. |
