IDPA schools
Can anyone recommend a tactical school specifically geared toward IDPA or USPSA competition?
Thanks GS |

IDPA is the school.
I have found that it is a great method for honing your skills for a self defense situation. Just remember that there are 2 types who engage. 1 being gamers that tend to dominate the stages, and 2 being those that see each stage as a real life situation and treat it as such. This group, myself included, tend not to fare as well in the scoring. Both groups are respected, so don't feel as if you need to game it. Just remember it's a game but also a great learning experience. Better stage masters can be creative and inject the need for a thinking scenerio without making it too difficult to remember. Even though it's a game, you'd be surprised at how many people, myself included, have straight up brain farts when trying to navigate a confusing course of fire. Enjoy and meet the good people there. Best, -Coop

IDPA schools
I would recommend the USAA in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Gets real high marks from everyone who has attended.
