M1 garand pictures and adjustable gas plug
The sequel to an earlier post; Does this m1 garand already have an adjustable gas plug installed so that it can safely fire over the counter commercial 30'06 ammunition? Pictures below, Thank You!

That appears to be a stock gas plug, not an aftermarket adjustable one.

Grenade Launching Plug
Has a spring loaded poppet that is held open by the grenade launching fixture. The launcher used a blank cartridge and wasn't meant to cycle the action.
I had one on a CMP M1 that didn't seal completely. I bought a new solid one and the cycling problem was gone. |
