Laser Sight for Stoeger Cougar

Hi All,
I just bought a Stoeger Cougar 9mm. I love the gun but hate the fact that it dos not have an accessory rail. Is it because of obsolete design or what?
Now my biggest concern is to get a laser or a laser/flashlight combo for the gun I love. Tried searching the web and asking the local arms dealer but no positivity so far.

Thanks

Yes, the pistol is an older design.

Beamshot has a universal trigger guard mounted rail adapter that works very well for a light. I have one of them on one of my revolvers.

It would likely be hit-or-miss with a laser as there can be a bit of flex due to the design of the mount depending on whether the rail rests under the pistol's dust cover. Also, be prepared to scuff up your trigger guard.
