Add-on 3 shot burst device for AR
Have Googled & can't find any. My friend saw one that also somehow causes full auto[?] but didn't buy- now wishes he did.
Any ideas? Shack SC

You probably want to ask the guys over at the NFA forum.
More than one shot per trigger pull makes a machinegun.

3 shot burst device
I probably poorly worded my post. What my friend saw was a legal device.
I know there used to be a little crank device that would attach to the trigger guard. Good way to waste a lot of ammo.

there was also a device I've seen at a gun show a few years back that essentially helps you bump fire the gun. Claimed it was 100% legal. Didn't care too much either way, it's a waste of ammo.

Maybe your friend was talking about a Lightning Link.

The crank is legal
The hell fire is the "bump fire" one http://www.ak-47.net/products/hellfire.html it's legal The lighting link is only for AR's and is an NFA item (around $7500 + $200 stamp and 6 month wait) Beyond that there are a lot of ways to get into trouble. There have been a few that were initially approved by the BATFE, AW-SIM and Akins Accelerator come to mind first but when it turned out that they worked as advertised the approval was rescinded. This should give you a good idea of the quality of the products that remain legal. |
