Hogue EZG recoil pad- Savage synthetic stock- anybody tried it?

Looking at the Hogue EZG Recoil pad for a Savage 110 stock- Hogue's part number 00770 (http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct...tnumber=434031). Anybody have experience with this? So many prefit recoil pads don't fit that well, curious if there's any feedback on this one.

Anybody tried this at all, even if on a different rifle?

I have the same gun as you in a 7mm Rem mag. I ordered a Pachmayer recoil pad last night off EBay. Seems after doing a bit of research on the different brands none of them seem to be a perfect fit right out of the box. Some folks said they fit fine while others says the fit was off. I would interested in the responses you get on this pad.

I tried the Pachmayer prefit on this rifle (Savage 111FXP3) and it didn't fit.

I don't think I've seen a "pre-fit" pad that actually fits a savage 10 or 110 yet. Of course I've only tried 3... I have a belt/disc sander, it's not an issue for me anymore

I like Limbsaver as a brand however their Savage 110 recoil pads are too narrow and too tall.

I tried kick eez, decelerator, and I can't remember what the other was... it was years ago. I may still have it laying around somewhere

My Hogue will be here tomorrow- will give a report on it. It's only designed for the Savage 110 stock (versus most which are listed for several stocks), hopefully it will fit better. I'll post pictures too.

The fit is pretty good overall (at least compared to most prefits), not that impressed with the pad itself. It's soft in about the middle 1" and quite hard for the rest of the pad. The pad itself is also quite thin. Though it doesn't fit as well I'll probably buy another Limbsaver 10111.
