Website help! AR-15
So, I have been tossing around the idea of building an AR style rifle, I already have a lower (stripped) that I can use. A friend introduced me to a website around a year ago, that had AR-15 upper kits, they were customizable, many choices to select from, and pretty reasonable. I cannot find the website now, although about a week ago I stumbled on it from a link on this site.
Does anyone know of any Uppers website? Can you post links to this site please?

Unfortunately no. It's a little bit of an off-the-wall name, but I can't remember it to save my life. Know of any more?

Reports from them are spotty, some people love them but they seem to get more than their share of negatives. Any special reason to go with them? I'd do more homework and get the biggest bang for the buck.
Bravo Company, Noveske, LMT, Daniel Defense get high marks. I recently went with an ArmaLite U15A4CB complete upper for $500 and am extremely pleased with the quality and reasonable price. If I had it to do over I'd get it again. If you want low price, Del-Ton has a great kit deal to fully complete a stripped lower. |

I'd have to go with a reputable source with documented quality such as those listed above, BCM, LMT, DD, Noveske. I'd honestly prefer to spend the few extra $$ and know that additional quality control measures like properly staked gas keys, MP and HPI tested, and F marked FSB are done. It's amazing the little differences that you may never notice, I had a S&W M&P15, functioned perfectly every single time but the gas key staking was a joke compared to my 6920. Would I have ever had an issue? Probably not but that extra piece of mind is nice.

Try J&T distributing. Their products are known for good quality and the prices are right in line with model 1.

With AR prices lower now, I would check out either
bravocompanyusa or cmmginc Also, at the last gunshow, I saw a Colt 6920 selling for $1150 (complete rifle). |

Just this week I received an upper from Model 1. Quality seems good, price was great - but I ordered it in March. They have been far behind on orders this year so if you're in a hurry they're not a good choice. I was prepared for the wait and I didn't see many other places offering the configuration I wanted.

Here is another vote for Bravo Company. They're uppers are second to none and are reasonably priced.
