Mesa tactical recoil reducer??

ok today I bought stuff for my shotgun and not I can't stop. I decided I want a pistol grip gun. With a stock of course but I am more comfortable with the m16 style set up. So in my quest for the perfect gun I found the mesa tactical leo M4 style set up and I like that. But what is intriguing to me is that they offer it with a hydraulic buffer that they claim eliminates 70% of the recoil. thats a pretty impressive claim. So has any one tried it and does it work?

No, I haven't. But I do have one of these on
my Mossberg. It works fine.

i have seen the black hawk too and herd good things but they claim 30%. the mesa tactical claim 70%. thats pretty impressive if it really works. but I am skeptical. If it really works I will buy it. but so far it seems as though no one has used one

Personally, I feel the 70% claim has got to be a big reach. I also doubt many here would believe this claim and shell out nearly the price of a new gun for a stock.
Also, I personally wouldn't use a stock other than standard height comb as it will lower the sight plane if you cheek weld or cause face slap if you do not.

i understand that 70% is a reach but if it is effective then it might be a good investment. one of the things that is drawing me to is is the position it puts the gun in (at least in the leo configuration) my hands. I just can't seem to find any one who has actually used one.

Try knoxx.com, they have some of the best I have seen. I have the knoxx SpecOps folder stock on my 870 tactical

Unless it is adding a LOT of weight, it won't reduce actual recoil by that much. It MIGHT help with felt recoil some, but physics is physics.......

its doesn't add a ton of weight. and it is felt recoil they claim to be eliminating. basically its a shoulder saver kind of thing. I really like the idea of one but before I shell out that much cash I would like to hear one person who has tried one say yea of nay.

If it isn't reducing the actual recoil it isn't saving your shoulder anything - you might get a temporary relieve of the initial pain, but the damage from recoil is a cumulative effect over time....

yea after a ton of searching with out finding any one who has used a mesa stock and due to its price I started looking at the Knoxx. and due to its great reviews and much better price I bought the knoxx today. thanks every one.

I have the Knoxx. I am not a huge fan. It performs as claimed with regard to recoil reduction, but it definitely takes some getting used to.

As far as Perceived Recoil is concerned, it is a subjective thing, so one may claim whatever they wish.
