I can't find anything in New Mexico I'd pay for. I see on another site the Mas Ayoob is planning to teach an LFI I course in S/AZ which is only 4 hours away from Cruces and I have friends in Benson. I'm going to try and register for that one. If I'm going to put some money out I want a good school.

Mas' class would be an excellent bet. I took it last year. Also Guniste near Prescott, Arizona isn't all that much further, and it's one of the top schools in the country. I've taken two classes at Gunsite and can heartily recommend it.
So I'd say that your best bet would be to take a road trip one state to your west. |

Mas' class is tenatively scheduled for May in Sierra Vista.
LFI 1 is the first class I would recommend. After that, go where you want. I strongly recommend and encourage LFI 1 to all gun carriers, no matter how long they have been carrying a gun, or if they've been involved in a shooting or not. It took me twenty years to make it to LFI 1. I am sorry it took me so long, but in way way do I regret taking the class. Biker |

I'm not really a fan of Ayoob's style of teaching. You may want to consider bringing someone to you. Get a few people together (usually 12 or so, $300-$400 a head). AZ, has a gaggle of instructors who live there.

Maybe try contacting Southwest Shooting Authority.
