anyone ever seen anything like this ???

it's a folding 410, with 2.5" chambers I'm curious as to age manufacturer, country of origin etc...

sorry, I don't have much other info on it...

Any markings? I've seen single barrel folders, IIRC, Beretta made one, as did some English folks. Definitely neat lookiing

this is a better pic of the reciever, but I have not inspected the gun personally, so I don't know on the markings...

I would guess it was made in Belgium, but the proof marks will tell. I think some were made in Spain as well, but the few I've seen up close were Belgian.

I have one here, it's marked El Pheasant, Spain but mine has a solid not hollowed buttstock...Other then a 5 digit serial number and a couple of proof marks, that's it...I've had mine for over 30 years...

Many European manufacturers used to make folding shotguns and rifles designed to carry in a case while riding in a carriage or car. Typically late 1800s or very early 1900s. They had various names, but are typically small game guns for rabbits and such, usually chambered in a small gauge or small caliber. There should be a proof mark under the chamber area that will give some sort of idea of the country of origin, or perhaps a maker's name or inscription on the barrel or lock plate..
