Reversing (put latest post on page 1 of Large Thread)
If already mentioned or dismissed, my apologies in advance...
On each thread, there is the OP, then #1, #2, and so on maybe 3 pages or maybe 30 pages. Just curious if there could be an option on a thread of say 20 pages or larger to have the order reversed. In other words, the OP would be at the end and the last several posts/comments would stream to page 1 (instead of page 21) That way someone could continually see the last post on the first page. Probably silly and picking nits but just a thought. |

Go here: http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/...do=editoptions
Scroll down to Thread Display Options. Change the Thread Display Mode to Linear - Newest First. That won't differentiate between "large" and "small" threads. It'll display every thread you read newest to oldest. http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/...thread_display |

That's very simple to achieve. Go to your "User CP"; select Edit Options; under "Thread Display Options - Thread Display Mode" select "Linear - Newest First" in lieu of Oldest First.
That will be in effect for all threads, so if your question is strictly related to having it done for threads over a threshold of n pages, then the answer is no, it can't be done. But, I don't think it should ever be done that way unless you would prefer a very confusing set of threads where one is newest first, the next is oldest first, etc. |
