Ever find a holster made for one gun that fits a different gun perfectly?

I have noticed lately that some of the holsters I bought which were made for one gun fit a completely different gun just as well. I have a Safariland belt slide that is made for a Colt Officer's model but fits my Kahr pistols perfectly. In fact it holds my PM9 as if it was custom molded for it.

Another example is when I could not find a holster for my H&K P2000SK and found that a holster for a Glock 26/27 (pictured below) fit it like a glove.

Anyone else have good examples of holsters that fit this bill. You never know when information like that will be useful. I know I have just started taking my gun with me when I buy a holster and trying out different ones.

The Kyodex holster for a PPK fits the Polish P-64 perfectly as does the Desantis Nemesis made for the Sig 230/232.

Never been that lucky - got a big box full that only fit the gun made for - that doesn't count the generic brands of spandex or whatever -

Hoyt use to make great holsters, you send them the model number, and barrel lenght. I have three, one for my 4" Model 28 Service revolver, one for My model 27 6 in, and one for a Model 19 Smith.

Its a shame they are no longer in business, their holsters fit perfect.

I also have this one. Made for me by a Retired Alaska State Trooper when I retired from the Anchorage Police Dept. Its a perfect fit for the 1911, but it's a custom made job.

The Kahr's and 1911's must be very similar in the trigger area because that is the same thing I have found. That Kahr pistols fit 1911 holsters.

I have a DeSantis 06580 leather paddle holster for a Sig P226 that fits single stack or double stack 1911s perfectly. The thumb break even snaps over the back of the firing pin for nice cocked and locked carry.

My dad has a holster that was originally for a sig 229 that he sticks almost everything in. Retention is a joke, but he seems happy with it. I'd argue with him but he's got more gunfights under his belt than anyone else I know, so I can't really one up him on practical knowledge.

I was happy to find that my CZ40B fit in a Safariland carbon-fiber holster that was marked for an H&K 2000. I've also got a holster that's marked for a Glock that fits a BTA90. There's a number of oddball cross-matches that can be made, like almost any holster for the Beretta/Taurus 92 series fitting a full-size CZ75/85.

I have had it for years it's my most worn holster.

Many SIG pistols will fit the same holster. P220's (and their variants), P245's, P226's, P225's/P6's all fit the same holster. P228's, P229's, and P250's will fit the same holster. You do have to take into account the rail vs non railed guns though. If you by the holster for the railed gun, your covered for the non railed guns.

I had a custom RafterS holster made for my SW 3913. It fits the 1911s just fine with the 3 or 3.5 inch being perfect and longer barrels extending through the bottom slot.

My Hume JIT slide for a 1911 also fits my Bersa .380. I have a Galco OWB holster for my SW M&P that is also supposed to fit a couple of the Glock models (I don't remember which one).

Sold my Beretta 92 Centurion a while back

but still had a Sam Andrews saddle holster for it.

Turns out that saddle fits a CZ75B almost perfectly. Slight difference where the safety is, but still works just fine.

Just like the Penguin...

I have a Akers concealment holster for a Glock 17 and it fits the H&K P2000 just dandy.

I also have a sort of pancake holster made for a S&W N frame that accommodates a Government Model pretty well. It works for a Single Action Army pretty well too, now I think of it. It fits all three better than '... well, I can get it in there...'

Believe it or not, I've got a Don Hume, and the thing fits 3 of my guns, 2 .40s and a 9mm.

Hoslter fits:

Great post PBP,
I tried out some of the above responses to your thread and they work great.
Especially the Browning hi-power fitting the 1911 holsters. That was great Airforceshooter. Thanks
I got a couple of Uncle Mikes hoslsters that fit almost anything! For some reason, they just can handle revolvers and autos. Not quite perfect but very close.

A holster made by Mika for a CZ Rami fits my new Defender like it was made for it. Rare that I get a 2 fer 1 on any purchase
