I hope you find what you are looking for. I also hope you find some good painkillers to go with the Pepto.

Is this what you are looking for? It looks like they have problems ejecting the spent case. Give me a Desert Eagle in 50 AE. I really like my Desert Eagle. It is a true Hand Cannon!

Holy mother of God... they make a .308 handgun! I might need a napkin. Am I dreaming?

Not to be rude or snobish. But you could find a Thompson Center single shot 308 pistol fairly easy.
Unless you just wan't the EEA THOR. Then put back some green and wait. Thats what I did when I wanted a Win. model 94 legacy in 357 Mag.
Took awhile but I got it.

GOOD LUCK

They even make a 50 BMG pistol.

cavy, it may fit the technical description but I'd call that a rifle without the stock.

I own a .308 win encore.

Trust me, you don't want one. The top barrel is a .308, the bottom one is a much more manageable .243 win

I disagree with the folks saying that the .308 handgun is uncomfortable to shoot. I have shot an Encore many times in .308 and it doesn't feel any different than my SRH in .44 Mag.

The only EAA "Thor" I ever saw or fired was a .45-70. I did that exactly once. I've fired a friend's Remington XP in .308 quite a bit. Not even in the same ballpark, as far as comfortable shooting goes..

The Thors are unfortunately gone for now. They seemed to be well made, but that's a pretty specialized market that is pretty well saturated by T/C. My .308 Striker was a ***** cat and doesn't even qualify as big bore for the specialty pistols that are being put together now. Jeesh, you can't spell pussycat.

Looks like they may be still available on the european market as the Raptor. Pachmayr made a 1911 conversion for a while in some interesting cartridges, don't remember if 308 was one tho'.

I know a few guys who shoot the big TC's and say they are great. Never heard anything bad. I would still pick a caliber less than .308. I mean, what is the point? Pistol hunting is done inside 150 yards right? It just seems a lil overkill. I like the BFR in .30-30. That seems like a good platform PLUS it is not an eyesore like the Thor, I mean, ya gotta admit...that is an ugly gun:barf:

Actually when you get into the T/C's, XPs and the like, your range is really only limited to your ability, the pistol is capable of hanging out with the rifles. When you're talking about the 14-16" barrels you don't loose that much velocity and these pistols tend to be alot more accurate than most rifles. Not to mention the folks that use them tend to be obsessed to the point of insanity about getting the most acuracy out of them.

And yeah, the Thor is one of the ugliest pistols ever created.

I built a .375 H&H Mag in an Encore pistol. It's fun.

If you don’t reload, don’t buy one. I had one in 30-30 Win and 223. The problem is that manufactured ammo is made for long barrels and getting a Contender to work with that caliber will require reloading.
I never got the 30-30 to shoot worth a darn,,, but the flash was sure impressive.
The 223 has taken out a couple of dozen ground hogs and 100 yard shots were easy as long as you had something to support it, but again I never got a factory rounds to work very well in it.
What is your reason for wanting one, plinking or hunting?
