Non clicking Enfield sight?
I replaced the flip sight on my no 4 mk 1 with a ladder sight and i noticed that it doesnt click when you turn the knob at the top, can someone tell me what i need to do to fix this? the sight still moves up and down when you turn the knob i just want it to click

Did you clean it realllly good with some kind of solvent and a tooth brush?
The one I bought I had to clean the detents under the knob and free up the spring that pushes the little ball bearing that fits into the detents. It still doesn't click much. |

yea that sounds alot like mine i cleaned it and it clicks a little

The No4 Mk1 ladder sight was never made to literally 'click' ... if the sight adjusts up and down then it is working exactly how it is supposed to function; no more and no less I'm afraid.
A horses hooves won't clip clop all the time either ... ![]() Tiki.
