jacketed/lead

I own a marlin 94 in 32/20 that shoots outstandingly with jacketed bullets. Today I fired a 3/4" group at 60 yds, (all the snow melt will allow), with jacketed bullets over I think 17grs of 1680 and because I am lazy and wanted to now how my cast 110gr gc over 12 gr of 2400 would do....4 times as large. I know you are suppose to clean between jacketed and lead and visa versa, but would it make that great of diff? I'd love to hear from peeps who have done the same thing and there results.

Is it micro-grooved rifling or ballard?

Did you work up those loads for that rifle?

No zs, I took some of paco's loads. started wit 2400 with the jacketed then switched to 1680. about 100rds of jacketed prior to the cast stuff.

oops, its cut rifling not microgroove...oh yeah shot my model 39 too and it is a tack driver as usual...micro groove

You should have cleaned it good.you cant switch back and forth with out cleaning.I had a 73 in 32/20 and shot it with the mold that came with the gun a win 115 gr lead and the win tong tool which I still have.3.5 gr bullseye with 115 gr lead should give a neet load.

Thanks Teddy, I'm not looking for a load suitable for a 73, (lucky dog), but a speedy load that may get fast enough to shatter the linotype upon impact. I guess I really nead to scrub the barrel clean and try again. Thanks guys for the input.
