I didn't know that Bersa made a 1911, do you have a picture or a link?

$431 and $481 MSRP for the mil-spec and deluxe models.

I'm not wild about the magazine baseplate but the rest of the gun looks fine to me. It isn't made in South America like other Bersa models are; it's actually made for them by another company in the Philippines (and not Armscor from what I can gather).

Impact Guns has the Mil-Spec version for $349: http://www.impactguns.com/store/757873FS45GM.html

It got very favorable reviews on Gunblast as well: http://www.gunblast.com/Firestorm-1911Deluxe.htm

Thanks David but do you actaully have any experience with the gun yourself? That is truely what im looking for is someone who has actually handled the firearm.

Baseplates on mags are generally removable. Action shooters like them when they drop the mag on the ground doing a quick reload.

Its not made by BERSA Its a Firestorm made by Metroarms in the phillipines Bersa has nothing to do with it. Firestorm is a name and they contract companys to build them pistols. Bersa builds the DA/SA Firestorm pistols
I have had mine American Classic close to a year(same as Firestorm just different roll mark) It has been accurate and relieable my serial number is in the XXX70's . They are well made and as good as the Rock Island made by Armscore The Firestorm or sister pistol American Classic have a nice blue finish Cast frame and forged slide It is 1911 compatable and you should be able to find the Delux for around $425 The mag is a 8 rounder. All regular Gov 1911 mags work fine I carry mine with a 7 round colt mag.
This pistol has the lifetime warrenty and will be serviced by Bersa warrenty centers.
Word of caution The old Firestorms were made by Llama Their are still a few new ones out their Don't buy Make sure its a Metroarms pistol.
if you want to ask other Firestorm/American classic owners go to http://bersatalk.com several members have them and all like them Some carry for SD.

Not A Bersa

Michael T is correct - this is a Philippine Made firearm... All BERSA are made in Argentina...

The Philippine made 1911's are looking good, and are starting to get noticed as a solid 1911...

The lifetime warranty is a boon. I would buy this or the Rock Island Armory branded Armscor.

The Impact Guns price is amazing, but they show out of stock - check with them before placing your order...

The only 1911 I could find branded Armscor has a much smaller billboard than either the Firestorm or the Rock Island. Those huge logo's make me appreciate my DW CBOB, almost nothing on the side of the gun.
For the price difference that huge billboard is a small price to pay for a small price to pay.
