What are you shooting it in? If it's an SKS or other non-match rifle, just get any ball ammo with Boxer primed brass cases and shoot it and save the brass. If you can't find any, Midway has Winchester brass.

If you are trying to make accuracy loads for a Contender barrel or something similar, I would get Lapua brass. Midway has that, too. I was fortunate to be able to buy some Lapua ball ammo inexpensively at a gun show when I first got into the caliber. The brass is great. If you can find that ball ammo somewhere, go for it.

I have been saving my winchester and federal 7.62 X 39 brass that I shoot in my AK so that I can reload it sometime but it gets chewed up pretty good getting ejected out of the gun I am doubting weather it is safe to.

Midway, Cabelas, Powder Valley, etc, etc....

You just have to keep looking around to find some one that has it in stock.

OK, I tell you a little secret, but only if you promise not to tell anyone. Remember, it's a secret.

IMI (Israeli Military) makes some top notch brass. They make excellent 7.62x39 brass. You can find New unfired IMI brass here for $17.60/100. Only problem is you have to buy at least 1K.
