BPS 10ga ?

Hello just have a quick question. I recently bought a BPS 10ga NWTF edition 24'' barrel and noticed that the forcing cone is very short and I was suprised at this because I shot a Rem 870 3.5 before this and the forcing cone was lengthened from the factory. Would I benefit if I had it leghtened and polished in the BPS or is there a reason it's not done? Any help in appreciated

Maybe...

The only reason I could concieve for a required short forcing cone would be pressure need to operate an auto shotgun.
The shorter forcing cone could create more pressure.
On a pump I can't think of a reason.
Are you going to do the work yourself?
I had Gobbleguns in Batesville,AR lengthen the forcing cone in a 10 gauge.
They were the first person I found who would/could do 10 gauge.
They did a great job.(also ported the barrel)
