Search function

The search function is off kilter, at least for these specific recent searches...Hk45, 1911 holsters, TRP, etc...It'`s just pulling random threads it seems.

I did a search yesterday and all it did was search the general handgun forum. The search was about rifles. So I used the advanced search and specified the rifle forum. Then it did the same thing all results were from the general handguns forum.

i was searching for sierra gamekings in a search and it brought up stuff about .45 ACP. Did a search within the thread and nothing in there about Gamekings, so yeah, maybe something is wrong...

Search

I've noticed it too.....it does not bring up the "key words" when you do a search

The only results my searches come up with are from the year 2000 and older.

Fly

Edit: Though the "New Posts" button seems to be working fine.

I too am getting only old posts and it is not searching the key words.

In the meantime you can use the google site search: type your search term "1911" site:thefiringline.com. It will give you a list of hits.

Upgrading the search engine caused a snafu with the existing search index. It's been regenerated and should be working now.
