.38 special
need a good fast load for my .38. Have found 300 125gr lead round noses and can't come up with a good powder load. My manuals have almost everything in them, not this one.
Have Bullseye, Unique, Red Dot, 2400, Imr3031,4295 & Herco on hand. Thanks, SOB |

I'd load them with 3.5 of Bullseye or 5.1 of Unique. That should give you 900 to 1000 fps. and not beat up your gun.

I just loaded and shot 50-125 gn rnfp 38 spcl with 4.3 gn Bullseye. You can also try 4.0gn Win 231.

A good load for my 38 spl. is 3.3 grs. Red Dot pushing a 158 gr SWC, it is an absolutley great load out to 25 yards.
Am using this load in my 357 Blackhawk, 6" barrel. Floydster |
