remington "spartan"
If anyone has owned or known anyone with this shotgun ,please give a review.I am debating between the spartan (20guage) OR the h&r topper (20 guage). Both are single shots with smooth barrel.

the spartan guns are made for remington ,by a russian company (can't remember off the top of my head).
personally i would go with the H&R or just save you money and get a nice new or used mossberg 500 pump. joe

The Spartans are built by Baikal, a russian company which sold the guns under their name until Remington came into the picture. I had the coach gun. It was built like a tank. Solid and not to pretty. But functioned everytime. My favorite feature is the chrome line barrels. All in all, the Spartan line are great guns for the money.
